Twelve-12-XII

The Magnificent and Magical Music of Bobby McFerrin
I had the wonderful opportunity to see Bobby McFerrin in concert
when I first moved out to Hollywood, CA in the summer of 1985.
I had never seen or heard of him before (this was a few years before
his huge hit, "Don't Worry, Be Happy"), and he was just the opening
act for jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan, but he was absolutely amazing!

Hoedown!
A Jefferson 3rd grader was rocking out on the drums,
jamming to ELP's version of Copland's "Hoedown!"
Turkey in the Straw
The 2nd grade students have been dancing the Virginia Reel
this week to the famous folk tune, "Turkey In The Straw."
They have done a great job with a very involved dance!

Holiday Stroll
I will be performing at the Franklin Holiday Stroll this evening
from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jane's Frames in the center of town!

Reading Assembly
Yesterday at Davis Thayer Elementary School we began our school day
with a kick-off to our Read Across America reading program!
The kids, staff and I also got to sing a song called "Read."

Forge Park Senior Center
The Jefferson Student Council will making its annual visit
to the Forge Park Senior Center to sing for the seniors!
We will be there this afternoon from 3:30-4:30 p.m.!

local TV station's Talent Call USA Christmas Show. If you are
