Peter & The Wolf- LIVE!

North Winds will be performing Peter & The Wolf
at Jefferson Elementary School 3 months from today:
Friday, April 29th, 2016, for all music students grades K-5!

Students in First Grade explore the magic of this classic musical
adventure with a very exciting unit. I will also introduce Kindergarten
students, as well as reintroduce students in grades 2-5! Should be fun!

Peter and the Wolf

North Winds brings the classic tale and musical composition by Sergei Prokofiev to life.  In a fun-filled performance, they highlight the use of character portrayal through the distinct voices of oboe, clarinet, flute and bassoon.
Target Grades: K-8

Audience Limit: 200

Duration: 45-60 minutes

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. On The Importance Of Jazz

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on the importance of Jazz:

"Jazz speaks for life. The Blues tell the story of life's difficulties,
and if you think for a moment, you will realize that they take the
hardest realities of life and put them into music, only to come out
with some new hope or sense of triumph. This is triumphant music."
