Talent Show!
The annual Jefferson School Talent Show for
4th and 5th
grade students will be held on Friday, April 26th
at the Horace Mann Middle School
Auditorium.
All 4th and 5th grade students are invited to
participate!
Share your talents- singing, dancing, karate,
playing an
instrument, acting, gymnastics, magic tricks,
etc.
Acts may be individual or groups. Students may
only
participate in ONE act (not counting the 5th
grade finale).
First Rehearsal: Friday, April 5th
2:45—5:00
Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, April 25th
2:45-5:00
(Rehearsals in Remington/Jefferson Dining
Room)
Acts should not exceed 90
seconds.
All music played must be school
appropriate.
Talent show permission slips will come home
next week,
but start rehearsing now! :)

NIGHT OF THE ARTS!!!
And (just about) everything you wanted to know about it...
1) Night of the Arts is NEXT Thursday (a week from today!), March 14th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
2) Night of the Arts is an opportunity for families to see their children perform with Tony Vacca on the Remington stage. They can also check out their children's artwork in the downstairs Jefferson hallway and in the Jefferson/Remington library!

4) You do not need a permission slip for Night of the Arts this year; you can simply show up with your child(ren).

5) Children DO, however, need to be supervised at all times by their parents and/or guardians at the Night of the Arts!
6) There is no dress code for the Night of the Arts. Children can wear whatever makes them feel special for performing with Tony Vacca!
7) Students will line up on the ramp in the Jefferson lobby that leads to the stage when it is time for them to perform. After their performance, they will exit the stage on the Remington side and meet their families in the Remington hallway so as to avoid any congestion and traffic.
8) All students will practice this routine, as well as their performance piece, during their music class time next Thursday.
9) Light refreshments will be available at the Night of the Arts upstairs outside of the library!
10) Please see the schedule below for the performance times for your child(ren)! Tony Vacca starts right at 6:00 p.m., so plan accordingly!

6:00 - 6:15 Tony Vacca performs!
6:25 - 6:35 Kindergarten Performs with Tony Vacca
6:45 – 6:55 Grade One Performs with Tony Vacca
7:00- 7:10 Grade Two Performs with Tony Vacca
7:15 - 7:25 Grade Three Performs with Tony Vacca
7:30 - 7:40 Grade Four Performs with Tony Vacca
7:45 – 7:55 Grade Five Performs with Tony Vacca
8:00 – 8:10 Special Surprise for Students and Families
