The Magnificent and Magical Music of Bobby McFerrin

 
I had the wonderful opportunity to see Bobby McFerrin in concert
when I first moved out to Hollywood, CA in the summer of 1985.
 
I had never seen or heard of him before (this was a few years before
his huge hit, "Don't Worry, Be Happy"), and he was just the opening
act for jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan, but he was absolutely amazing!

Turkey in the Straw


The 2nd grade students have been dancing the Virginia Reel 
this week to the famous folk tune, "Turkey In The Straw."


They have done a great job with a very involved dance!

Reading Assembly

 
Yesterday at Davis Thayer Elementary School we began our school day
with a kick-off to our Read Across America reading program!
 
 

 

The kids, staff and I also got to sing a song called "Read."

Forge Park Senior Center


The Jefferson Student Council will making its annual visit
to the Forge Park Senior Center to sing for the seniors!


We will be there this afternoon from 3:30-4:30 p.m.!




Later this evening, I will be singing some original holiday songs 
 on a local TV station's Talent Call USA Christmas Show. If you are 
in the local area of Bellingham or Mendon, MA, you can watch the show 
on Channel 8 Comcast or Channel 47 Verizon. Milford, MA, residents can watch 
on Channel 47 Verizon. If out of the viewing area you can log onto http://www.abmi8.org/ 
on your computer. This show will air LIVE at 7:00 P.M.!If you're looking for something to do,
